|DPS ties up with UK schools on Global Partnership|
July 3, 2009 – Delhi Public School has made a global foray with tie ups with schools based in United Kingdom, as it announced in its birthday held on July 2.
On the grand occasion in the school auditorium Principal, DPS, Bokaro Steel City, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan said: “Today is very special day for us as we celebrate our 22nd birthday, eighth for Deepansh Shiksha Kendra and third for Koshish. A new feather will be added by unveiling the display of Global Partnership.” Emphasising on the partnership the Principal said: “Scenario is changing and there is a paradigm shift in the field of education and the need of the hour is to go global.”
“In the Science and Mathematics Talent Examination (SMTE) our students have put up a splendid performance and we are felicitating them today with cash prizes and digital diaries. We believe in holistic education and I wish all a very happy birthday,” she mentioned while adding, “145 students have qualified into IIT JEE and 200 in AIEEE this year, which is a record.”
K.S.R. Murti, ED (M&M), Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion said: “There should be a sense of responsibility towards society and I am happy to note the global partnership programme has been conceptualized and executed by DPS in the right earnest. It will be an exchange where talent, idea and education of both the institutions will be exchanged. I am delighted by the achievements of the school in this year’s competitive examinations. I wish greater heights to the school in the years to come.” Shitanshu Prasad, General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Guest of Honour was also present on the occasion. They gave away prizes to the toppers of the SMTE. Earlier an eclectic package of cultural and modern dance ensued with a vibrant performance by the students of DPS and Deepansh Shiksha Kendra.
