DPS, Bokaro sweeps CBSE 10th Board Results All 201 students get first division with average aggregate of 88.39 % BOKARO, May 29, 2009: Close on the heels of making a major breakthrough in IIT-JEE 2009 results with 135 students qualifying, DPS, BS City has come out with outstanding performance in the CBSE X results announced today.201 candidates appeared out of which all 201passed in first division. 123 (61.19 percent) of the appeared candidates have got 90 percent and above. Out of the total candidates 154 (76.62 percent) students got distinction in all subjects, while the total no of subject distinctions is 906. The average distinction ratio is 4.5. Besides, 184 students (91.54 percent) have scored an average of 75 percent and above. A1 and A2 grades in all subjects is 75.87 percent. Principal, Delhi Public School, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan speaking to the media says: “It is a result of consistent performance and we have been focusing on overall results and I am very happy about our performance.” The average aggregate percentage per student is 88.39 percent. “Last year, the average aggregate percentage was 88. This is a good improvement and one of the country’s best. We have scored well in all the subjects. But definitely there is scope for improvement. After all, the journey of excellence continues.” On being asked about the success the Principal says; “I attribute the success to the team work. I would also like to thank the entire society because they have always contributed to this success.” Anshul Kumar Rai topped the secondary examinations scoring 97.60 percent with a total of 488 marks. He is closely followed by Jeenu Thomas scoring 486 with a pass percentage of 97.20, and Deepshikha who scored 485 with 97 percent. Altogether 30 students have stood in the top ten rankings. Speaking to the media here in the sprawling campus, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan says: “I feel extremely good about our students perfomance. First in CBSE XII, followed by IIT-JEE where 135 students of our school qualified. But it somewhere increases our anxiety to perform better and that is not an easy task. We have to come out of this rat race and achieve new milestones.” Among the top ten toppers, Priyanshu scored 96.40 percent while Shreya, Anant Pushkar, Amitabh Anand, Saksham Prashar received 96.20 percent respectively. Subhashree Nandi, Sumanjima Das, Shritama Sengupta, Palak Jha each has got 96 percent. Besides, Ujjwal Kumar, Akansha Singh, Ananya Roy Chowdhury have received 95.80, while Aditi Anand, Mahima Narayan, Anurag Parashar, Ankita Anurag and Shivani have grabbed 95.60 percent. Nishikant Bhardwaj, Ankita Sikha and Suchismita Ghosh each have got 95.40 percent while Diksha Sonal, Tanmay Kumar Singh, Rohit Pratik Tiwari, Priyanka Sinha, Ravi Shankar Agrawal, Anubhav Das and Vishaka Sinha each have grabbed 95.20 percent.
