Every year the schools participate successfully in various events in and the country. List of achievements are listed below;

•National Champions – Inter DPS Creative Dance Competition held at DPS Gurgaon - November 15, 2008
•Inter DPS Vocal Music Competition held at DPS Dhanbad - October 25, 2008 – 2nd position
•Senior Child Rights Project – Selected for National Level of Children’s Science Congress, October 24-25,  2008
•CBSE Cluster I&II Athletic Meet – October 22-24, 2008, 35 Medals – 9 Gold, 12 Silver, 14 Bronze, Champions in U-19 Girls Category, 1st  Runners Up U-19 Boys Category, 2nd Runners Up U-14 Girls Category.
•Awarded Best Country Profile at DPS Model United Nations (DPSMUN) Conference 2008 held at DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi – November 22-24, 2008 - Country Represented – Kenya, Winner in Junior Group
•1st  Runners Up in Senior Group in International Young Mathematician Convention (IYMC) 2008 held at CMS Lucknow (2-5 December 2008) 10 Medals – 4 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze
•International Olympiad English Language (IOEL), January 2009 – Ankita Giri, Class VI – All India Rank (AIR) – 1st
•11th National Science Olympiad (NSO), November 20, 2008 – Ashish Harshvardhan, Class II – (AIR) – 1st
•National Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE), January 25, 2009 – Ashish Akshat, Class VIII – (AIR) – 1st
•2nd International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), December 18, 2008 - Ashish Akshat, Class VIII-(AIR) – 1st
•2nd Level Science and Maths Talent Examination (SMTE) January 18, 2009 – 10 Toppers of DPS in the Top 50.
•3rd International Innovation Day organized by CMS, Lucknow (15 October 2008) – Group A Creative Ideas – DPS won Gold Medal
•3rd International Innovation Day organized by CMS, Lucknow (15 October 2008) – Group B Creative Ideas – DPS won Silver Medal
•7th Inter School Jony Memorial Institutional Basketball tournament, December 21-31, 2008 – 1st Runner Up.
•20 students have qualified the NTSE 2009, in the state of Jharkhand out of which 9 students are Bokaro Dipsites.
•CBSE Cluster I and II Athletics Meet 2009 (zonal level) held in the Kumaramanglam stadium, Bokaro (29.10.2009-31.10.2009)
- DPS Bokaro bagged the overall Championship Trophy
- Kajal Kiran of Class XI was declared the Best Athlete in the Girls under 19 groups.
- 40 medals (16 Gold, 09 Silver & 15 Bronze).
- 86 Schools and 1086 athletes participated from Jharkhand, Bengal and Orissa, Assam, Nagaland etc.
- 16 students, 9 girls and 7 boys have qualified for the Nationals to be held in Jaipur from 20 to 24 December 09.
•Inter School Debate Competition, conducted by India Today; students won the 1st position, in the Best speaker for and against the motion and also the championship Trophy.
•1st International Festival of Biotechnology held at City Montessori School, Lucknow our students won trophies in the power point presentation category. 
•Inter School Basket Ball Tournament-2009 at M.G.M.School, B.S.City- 1st Runner Up in both Boys and Girls Categories.
•CBSE Cluster I & II Volleyball Competition (zonal level)- Richa Rashmi of Class XII awarded Best Player. Girls team bagged the 1st Runner Up position.
•CBSE Cluster II Basketball Tournament 2009- School bagged the 2nd Runners Up position.
•Project entitled “BIOCIDES” by DPS B.S.City selected for the National level at CBSE Science Exhibition (Regional Level) 2009.
•Inter DPS Group Song Competition (Zonal Level)- 1st Runners’ Up position in Group Song category.
•Inter DPS Fusion Dance Competition 2009(Zonal Level)- First Runner’s Up position at “Samanvay”
•Aman and Ankit of Class VIII- National Winners in Creative Writing Category conducted by ASSET PENTATHALON.
•Annual Celebrations and 22nd Scholar Badges, Aryabhatt and other prize Distribution Function held on 10.11.2009- 1069 awards were given in different categories. Mr. Vineet Joshi, Chairman, CBSE was Chief Guest of the occasion.
•“Spandan”- the Live Exhibition inaugurated on 10.11.2009.
